About me
I was born in 1969 in Genoa, a city I love, and remained there until I finished high school.
At the age of 18, I moved to Trieste to study at the Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori, at that time the only non-private university in the sector, where I obtained a university diploma as a translator and foreign language correspondent for German and English.
For me, translating does not just mean looking for the right word, but rather adapting the text to the linguistic subtleties of the country for which it is intended. It is no coincidence that the German words ‘Beruf’ (profession) and ‘Berufung’ (vocation) share the same etymology – and this is exactly how I approach each text I translate.
